The LightSpeed Fixed Wireless Internet service uses wireless line-of-sight service to deliver broadband connectivity. Our equipment utilizes our various own tower sites to capture a wide expanse of coverage. Customer premise equipment must have line-of-site viewability for our equipment to receive service.

However, as with any broadband internet connection, the customer has a constant open connection to the internet and is, therefore, subject to any and all forms of internet attack. Consumers are responsible for protecting their computers. Installing antivirus software and a firewall will help protect your computer from damaging viruses.

Yes. For fixed wireless internet service, we require an installation fee, which is reflective of the length of service.

LightSpeed offers several ways in which we can update customers about outages on our services. We publish all outages and updates via the outages page on our website, as well as on our Facebook and LinkedIn page. We also send out text emails or call all our affected customers to let them know when an outage is on and then follow this up with another call when it’s fixed.
